When I came to know about Lars Olsen, chief executive of Forget me Not Children Home, an orphanage run by him in Nepal, through our university’s international support officer Mr Richard Richter, I wanted to meet the great guy who was devoting his valuable time to look after our Nepalese girls. Mr Richard suggested me to send an email regarding the organisation and to have a meeting. As suggested I sent Lars an email regarding the organisation and thanked him. Then Lars wanted us to meet and after some weeks we met and had a talk about his organisation and planning of building of the eco village which will be the girls’ private home. Then soon after, I popped in the proposal to be helping out in any kind of work that would be helpful for the organisation. Then Lars mentioned about KIDS HELPING KINDS DAY fundraiser program! He said we could do anything possible we can and we thought of doing some cultural dances and having Nepalese momo food stall. Because of the food health and safety reasons, we were not given any permission for the stall but we managed to some cultural dances on that day.
